Beginning and Intermediate Stained Glass Class

Debi McMahon is the instructor for this class. Ages: Teens and Adults, Fee: $150.00 All materials are included in this class to finish one project. Debi has a lot of patterns availabe to choose from. Classes will be held in the Activity Room, November 7, 7 - 9 p.m. to choose a pattern and learn to glass cutting. Other class dates will be decided on November 7.

Masters Swimming - Ongoing

Instructor is Derek Arnold (Elementary Swim/P.E. Teacher). No matter what your ability, or just want to learn better technique Masters Swimming is for you! Ages: 16 years and older, Fee: $35.00/month or $5.00/class. Days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 6:30 -7:25 p.m.

Country Swing Dance Classes

Instructors are Bill Moulton and Vicky McIntosh. This class is for new and old students. Ages: Adult couples. Fee: $50.00 per couple. Begins October 14 - November 13 (no class November 4 and 6). Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge. (You do not need to be a member for this class, the instructors are members.)

Youth Basketball - Grades 1 - 6

Sign-up Night - Friday, October 10th 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Aquatic Center Lobby. Basketball season will begin October 20 thru Dec 20, 2008. Family Rate: Families with more than one child will save $5.00 for each additonal child.
Grades 1 - 2 will play Saturdays only, Fee: $30.00
Grades 3 -4 will be placed on Teams, Fee: $45.00
Grades 5 - 6 will be placed on Teams, Fee: $45.00 and may purchase a jersey with their name one it for an additional $45.00. Jerseys must be ordered by October 26.
Volunteer Coaches Co-Coaches, and Referees are needed.

Fall 2008 Indoor Soccer - Grades K - 1

Head Coach is Alice Cumps. Begins October 4 - November 29, 2008. (No class on October 11, 18 and November 8 and 22.) Fee: $30.00/ 5 Weeks. Saturdays only, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Class size limited to 20.

Indoor Soccer Gr K - 2 (Feb - Mar 08)

Angel Worhatch is the instructor for this class.
Players will need to bring non-marking indoor shoes and their own shin guards. All players will learn the basics of soccer. Class will be held on Saturdays 9:00 - 10:00 AM, February 9 - March 15, 2008. Fee: $25, Family Rate: After 1st child save $5.00 for each additional child.
Class size is limited to 12.

Indoor Soccer Gr 3 - 8 (Feb - Mar 08)

Joe Veichnicki will be the coach for all groups. Participants will learn the basics of Soccer and will have games. All players show for scheduled times, teams are formed each practice.
Grades 3 - 4 will play Fri 6:30 - 7:30 PM and Sat 3:00 -4:30 PM and
Grades 5 - 8 will play Fri 7:30 - 8:30 PM and Sat 4:30 - 6:00 PM.
February 8 - March 22, 2008 (with no classes Feb. 29 and Mar 1). Fee: $40.00, Family Rate - after 1st child save $5.00 for each additional child. Class size is limited.

Learn the basics of Volleyball: Serving, setting, blocking, passing, and individual defense. All classes are February 1 - March 1, 2008.

Mixed Martial Arts

Regular Jujitsu training can improve an individual’s aerobic capacity, speed, power, strength, agility and flexibility Jujitsu is also practiced on special mats to added comfort and safety. There will also be training on the speed bag and heavy bag.

Body Sculpting

Strength training with bars, bands, stability balls and dumbells. All sizes, strengths, modalities, can be modified for any sports injuries. Class is held at the Romiad Studio. Class are ongoing and are held Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 -6:30 PM. Fee: $3/class or $36/Mo. New patrons welcome.

Bench Step Aerobics

This class is an intermediate to advanced class. Class is held at the Romiad Studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 – 7 PM and Saturdays 8 – 9 PM. Fee: $3/class or $36/Mo.

Deep Water Aerobics

Cake Decorating

(Adults) – with Beckie Weaver past instructor at Northwest Tech Center. Learn the basics of cake decorating. Students will bring frosting and cakes to decorate for weeks 2, 3 & 4. Ages: Adults. Classes will be held on Saturdays, February 2 – 23, 5 –7 PM in the Activity Room. Fee: $60.00/4 classes. Week 1 – (Feb 2): How to: Make Frosting (will be supplied this class only), cake baking, bag and tip prep, decorating techniques using frosting.
Week 2 – (Feb 9): Roses, Roses, Roses… (Just in time for Valentines Day.)
Week 3 – (Feb 16) Juvenile Birthday Cakes (coloring book page transfers, clowns, character pan cakes)
Week 4 – (Feb 23) Basket weave, forget-me-nots, figure piping.

Black & White Pastel Drawing – Nautical Theme

(16 yrs. - Adult) Wednesdays, 6 – 8 PM, Fee: $35.00. Dates: January 16th – 30th.
Charcoal drawing to study composition and create a finished piece using shading techniques, and discovering texture to show form, light and dark. Week 1 - Simple design, texture techniques, shading. Week 2 - Composing the drawing (thumbnail sketch). Week 3 - Finish drawing, fixative preservation, mounting, displaying.

Diving Class

(9 Years and Up) – instructor Coach Colin Williamson.
Always wanted to learn to dive? Now is the time. Learn approach step and basic dives. Ages: 9 years - adult, must able to swim 25 yards in Crawl Stroke. Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan 14, 16, 28, 30, February 4 and 6, 6:00 – 6:55 PM at the Aquatic Center. Fee: $10.00/6 classes. Second Session to be held if enough interest. Minimum students 6 and maximum 12.
